Hi I've enjoyed working on this new composition for assignment 2 using some of the line drawings in assignment 1.So I could post here I reduced the resoluton to 72 dpi. I was working at 300dpi at all other times. Have I done the correct thing regarding reducing res size?
I used Promarker pens and black ink splatters. I have found I cannot adjust the colour of the ink splatts. So I reduced the opacity, which made a happy accident happen when I filled the inksplatt layer with colour for a background.
I like it, Lesley, bold evocative, shapes and colours, Pow! but in a pleasing way.
Why did you reduce the resolution?
Also, you'll soon have Video 3B - Colorize Black Lines and Areas which shows how to make black dots like your ink spots into colours. But meanwhile, an inspired work-around!
Strong, bold composition, too, and I've never seen blue leaves before. The work excellently!
But 72dpi...
Hi Bill
thanks for your comments, much appreciated. There are lots of things I'd do differently, learnt lots and looking forward to learning more as I progress through the lessons. I am not sure what to do with my original design file. It"s image size is 160.6M, W 21 x H 29.7 cm, Res 300 dpi. How can I reduce it to be small enough to post here but still at 300dpi? I have got the original saved as a psd file. That's why I reduced the resolution of this file.
