Hi Holly. I'm guessing this is a light-hearted take on a serious topic. But sometimes an element of humour (which is intentional, if I'm not mistaken) can alert people in a way that an overly serious message might not.
I like the array of coloured-in pieces around the black and white line drawing - and nicely composed they are, too. And then the masks, immediately calling attention to where and when we are and what's happening.
Pease keep in mind that
g e n e r a l l y , editors will want less text rather than more in an illustration for publication with an article, but this would actually make an effective poster(!) in a driving school, or a mailer to staff.
I've been thinking about, and looking at, Covid and lockdown art. This is a great combination of both a serious message and an engaging element of humour.
The 'dirt spots' scattered around definitely add a great touch. And the naive lettering fits perfectly.
Well done. I like it!
