Ooo, I like this on - a bit of a 'How to.'
First, nice idea, and ideas are important in illustration. And well-ordered composition.
But I think you could have pushed this a little further, even if it meant redrawing a thing or two. If the scissors on the right were actually cutting into the T-shirt, with the shoulder falling down, how much more dramatic, startling - and ultimately intriguing - the image would be.
But in fairness, cutting off part of an image and pasting it somewhere else wasn't covered in the Week 1 Lesson.
Anyhow, the image is nice to look at and it fosters contemplation. The hat looks well cool. Maybe doing this image in colour would be worth a try? But please revise the shirt with a cut - either by drawing or in Photoshop - if you're going to develop this in colour. And maybe the hat - our beautiful, cool result, could be double it's present size. Plus some clippings falling away?
