assignment 2: colouring in

In this course I'm trying to 'let loose' a bit more and to try to have my finished work look more like my sketches (which people usually like best..). I used the drawings that I did from memory and did the colouring in very quickly, without tidying it up too much.

This is very effective in conjuring up the mood of being in a garden. I love the old fashioned feel. Really lovely.

I really love your style and courage in trying to keep it loose. I think it is so fresh and really love the way you have put it together. It seems so natural, well proportioned and the irreverend treatment you gibe the statue is genious! Did you draw the greenhouse and its plants as one drawing or seperate parts? I can see this in a magazine no problem. Lovely!

This line work has so much character, really different from others. The colors fit together so nicely!

Thanks everyone! Linda, the greenhouse and plants are one drawing. After drawing it I didn't think I'd use it as it was so wonky haha! It did come to life when I put a bit of green and blue on it.
Keeping the palette restricted always helps in making it look more unified, I think.
