Aroha - Love - Scott Trilogy Maori Series

The nikau is New Zealand's only native palm - drawn from the garden. Carvings drawn on location at the museum. The aim was a series with a Maori flavour. I tried to use different sized objects and views with multiple objects in the 'war' illustration.

I like this very much. It captures the atmosphere wonderfully well. What did you use for colouring?

Thanks Sadaf, the background blue was a slosh of water colour paint, but for the nikau and carvings I used Japanese Tombow dual tip marker pens, washed with a Pentel waterbrush. Most of my weekly sketching is with Tombows.
